Sunshine Riding Centre offers many different trail riding experiences.
With horses of all shapes & sizes, and experienced trail guides, you’re sure to have a great day out!
Rides are catered to the rider’s experience — with trotting, cantering and even galloping (if you’re lucky!) for riders who are capable.
1 Hour Trail Ride
+ 30 Minute Warm-Up Lesson
The perfect ride for beginners, children, or those who want a nice, easy “plod along” ride.
$90 per person
Please note - this booking includes a mandatory 30-minute riding lesson prior to the trail ride. A quick warm-up for you and your horse companion!
1.5 Hour Trail Ride
+ 30 Minute Warm-Up Lesson
A great ride for the more experienced riders — or the more horse-crazy!
Enjoy a relaxing ride through the local national park. This ride takes you up and down hills, through grassy trails, and even through creek crossings!
$140 per person

2 Hour Trail Ride
+ 30 Minute Warm-Up Lesson
This trail ride can be through the national park, or to the local lake! Experience wildlife & creek crossings from horseback.
$190 per person

Half & Full Day Trail Rides
The perfect ride for the truly horse-mad. Spend 4-6 hours on horseback, with a picnic lunch supplied.
Half day (4 hours + 30 minute lesson)- $320 per person
Full day (6 hours + 30 minute lesson)- $480 per person

Lake Trail Rides
Enjoy a relaxing ride to Lake Cooroibah - through forest trails and urban streets - followed by an easy 1 hour trail ride around the lake, then a break for lunch (BYO food and drink) with your equine partner grazing by your side. After that, it’s back in the saddle for a lake swim with your horse, before riding back to Sunshine Riding Centre.
This experience is about 3.5 hours long - a 30-minute warm-up lesson to start, followed by roughly 2.5 hours riding time with a 30-minute lunch in the middle.
$260 per person
Please note - This ride can be catered to riders with less experience, however we recommend that the riders have a solid understanding of the basics to get the most out of the ride. Children are more than welcome, our minimum age is 5 years old and any child under 12 will be led until we reach the lake - regardless of riding experience.
